Happy Halloween!

Halloween happy things:

  • Last night I went to work and made it through the entire shift.  Yay!  Last week was back pain and recovery.  So far this week is better.
  • There is still some bright foliage in the parking lot at work.  One photo is with flash, and one without.

  • Winston, the orange tabby, somehow managed to climb onto the bookshelf.   ðŸ¤£  For a little while I thought he might be stuck there.  He got himself out though.

  • The Inktober prompt is Fire.

Pennsic Full Day Eleven

Some happy things from today:
  • The Knowne World Baronial Youth Championship was today. Barons and Baronessess can support a youth fighter and there is a tournament. Keziah was one of the organizers of this event. It is fun to watch the joy on the kids faces as they play at fighting in the SCA.
  • The Barons and Baronesses asked each of the youth fighters a question such as, "Who inspires you in the SCA?" There were some great answers. My favorite, of course, was when one of the kids in our encampment said that Gideon inspired them.
  • Court was in the evening and many deserving people received awards. I really didn't know most of them, but it was fun to watch.
  • The best part of the day was sitting around the fire with friends at camp. Story telling and the occasional song was a wonderful way to end the day.

Pennsic Full Day Five

Pennsic Full Day Five happy things:

  • After a little walk I was able to find someone who had the phone number so we could get wood delivered. Some camp mates helped stack it and tonight we had a fire.
  • While out on my little walk I signed up to volunteer for the watch. A friend and I will cruise around in a golf cart Friday morning to be a presence around the campground. Basically, we'll have a radio so if someone needs help we can call it in.
  • I took some time and organized my things more in the tent. I feel better now that my garb is hanging up and easier to find.
  • Sitting around the fire someone a few camps over was playing bagpipes. People could be heard singing in the distance. Nice.
